Priv Life PeopleFor anyone whose memory is worse than their intentions

You remember the people.
We remember the details.

Where you met, what they are going through, which of their children is which, and the fact that you have not spoken since March. Priv Life People keeps searchable notes about the people in your life, the dates you should not miss, and reminders that make keeping in touch a rhythm rather than a guilt — with no feed, no suggestions and nothing shared with anybody.

Built around remembering

A contacts list knows names.
This knows people.

Everything here is something you wrote down yourself. Nothing is inferred, suggested, or scraped from anywhere.

01

Notes that answer questions

A line after the call — what they said, what they are going through, what to ask next time. The search reads the notes as well as the names, so “lisbon”, “cycling” or “radiotherapy” finds the person, and the matching note is quoted underneath so it is obvious why.

02

A rhythm, not a guilt

“Check in every six weeks” is the reminder most people want, and the repeat counts from the day you actually called — not the day it was due. A fortnight of slipping never quietly becomes part of the cycle, and a snooze hides the row without pretending the thing is not late.

03

Birthdays without a social network

Most birthdays come without a year, so this one stores them that way instead of refusing them. Dates are computed into the waiting list every time you open it — nothing is generated in advance, so editing a date changes the answer immediately, and nobody has to be told it is your friend’s birthday but you.

How it works

Three habits, one memory.

  1. Add a person

A name is all it takes. Relationship, tags, where they are and how you met can come later — or never.

  2. Write the line you will want

Thirty seconds after the call, while you still remember which hospital and which daughter.

  3. Open Waiting when you wonder

Late first, then today, then what is coming. The page is the reminder; there is nothing to subscribe to.

Privacy, in practice

The people in your life are nobody’s business.

People is a personal app: no organizations, no sharing, no directory, no feed. What you write about somebody is visible to exactly one person — you — and it is not shared with the other Priv Life apps either. No model reads your notes: voice capture and AI recall are both switched off, and the privacy policy changes before either is wired up.

Everything exports as JSON or CSV whenever you want it, and deleting means deleted.

Before you start

A few useful answers.

Questions before you start?

Contact Priv Life to confirm current pricing and whether People fits what you need.

Ask about People
Does it import my contacts?

Not yet, and the import will be deliberate when it arrives: a file you choose, a list you confirm. Hoovering up an address book would fill this with four hundred people you have no intention of remembering, which is the opposite of the point.

Will it email or notify me?

Not today. The waiting list is the reminder, computed every time you open it. If reminder emails are added they will be opt-in, and the privacy policy changes first.

Can I dictate a note?

That is planned, through Granola, and nothing is sent anywhere until you switch it on yourself and the processor is named in the privacy policy. Until then, notes are typed.

Is AI reading my notes?

No. Nothing you write here is read by a model, used to train anything, or sent to any other service. If semantic recall is ever offered it will be opt-in and it will say exactly what it sends.

What if I stop using it?

Export everything as JSON — people, notes, dates and reminders, nested the way they are held — or as CSV for a spreadsheet. Then delete it, and it is gone, without touching your other Priv Life apps.
