# Priv Life Giving — donations, campaigns and pledges for volunteer organizations

> Take donations on a public page that pays straight into your own PayPal account, let donors cover the processing fee, record gifts the day they arrive, run campaigns with honest progress, and keep donor histories private to the people your organization trusts.

For treasurers & the people who run the fund drive

# Every gift remembered. Nobody surveilled.

Donations recorded the day they arrive — cash, check, card, in-kind. Campaigns with goals and honest progress, pledges and whether they are being kept, and each donor’s history in one private place your treasurer controls.

## From the envelope to the year-end statement.

Recorded like a ledger: gifts are corrected by reversing entries, never deleted.

### Record a gift in seconds

Donor or anonymous, amount, method, campaign, date. Check numbers and in-kind descriptions where they matter, and a ledger the books can trust.

### Campaigns with honest progress

Set a goal and watch it fill from real gifts — progress is computed from the ledger, never typed in. Pledges show plainly whether they are kept up or behind.

### Donor history, kept private

Per-donor totals by year and lifetime, soft credits for household giving, and a CSV export. Donor lists are visible only to the people your organization grants access — never member-wide.

### A page people can give on

Publish a campaign and you get a link anybody can donate on — no account, no app — plus a button for your own website. Gifts land in your ledger as they arrive, matched to the donor when they are already on your roster.

### Straight into your own account

Connect Stripe in two clicks — the same connection Invoice uses — or PayPal if that is where your donors are, and the money moves between the donor and you. Priv Life takes nothing — no cut of a donation, ever — and card details never touch us.

### Let the donor cover the fee

One checkbox — add $1.25 so the whole $25 reaches us — and most donors tick it. That is what actually takes the cost of a fund drive to zero, and the gift is still recorded as the $25 they meant to give.

## A fund drive, start to finish.

- Open the campaign Name it, set the goal if there is one, and take pledges as they are made.
- Record gifts as they arrive Each gift lands in the ledger and moves the campaign bar. Mistakes are reversed, never erased.
- Close the books Export the ledger, review each donor’s year, and send statements from the record.

## Donor records are not a mailing list.

Priv Life’s published promise is no advertising, profiling or data sales. Donor histories are visible only to the people your organization grants giving access — they are never member-wide and never used for discovery. Review the current privacy policy for how organization records and service providers are handled.

## A few useful answers.

### Questions before you start?

[Ask about Giving](mailto:support@priv-life.com?subject=Priv%20Life%20Giving%20inquiry)

**Can donors give online through the app?**

Not yet. Giving records gifts your organization receives — cash, checks, cards you process elsewhere, and in-kind donations. Online giving is planned; ask about timing before depending on it.

**Who can see what people gave?**

Only the people your organization grants giving access — typically the treasurer and administrators. Donor lists are never visible to the general membership.

**Can a gift be deleted?**

No. A mistaken entry is corrected by a reversing entry that nets it out, the way books are kept. The history stays complete.

**Does it produce tax receipts?**

Not yet as documents. Each donor’s yearly history and the CSV export carry what a statement needs; generated statements are planned. Confirm your organization’s receipt obligations with its own advisors.

## The fund drive, set up for you.

Giving is behind the Priv Life agent API: one sentence, and the campaign and its public page come back as a plan you approve.

### Set up a campaign

Name, goal, dates, the blurb donors read and the amount buttons — one document, applied in one transaction, with the plan shown to you first.

### Read how it is going

Every campaign with its goal and what has come in, so you can ask how the drive is doing without opening a screen.

### Publishing needs your yes

An agent can prepare the page; opening it to the public stops and asks you to approve that exact page. Asking strangers for money in your name is not something a key does quietly.

### And two things it cannot do

It can never touch your PayPal credentials, and it can never record that money arrived — the treasurer says what was banked. Gifts given on the page record themselves.
